This statement serves as our motto and it guides our focus on creating empowering, socially conscious, and community orientated designs that are bold and fun.
We believe that brands have the power to impact and shape culture and we strive to promote change with our products. Our goal is to bring awareness, promote discussion, and celebrate what makes each of us feel powerful.
In 2020 we set out to make clothing that made an impact and we’ve made a commitment to ensure that at least 15% of every sale is donated annually to organizations who are doing the work to make Nova Scotia a better place to live. To date we've donated nearly $5,000 to local charities.
We are proudly printed in Whitney Pier, a small community within Sydney, Nova Scotia on the beautiful island of Cape Breton.

THE CREATIVE
Whitney Green is the creative mind behind most of our POWERFUL. designs.
Whitney is passionate about her community of Whitney Pier, one of the three historically Black communities in Cape Breton and one of the most ethnically diverse communities on the island.
THE BRAIN
Michael Vickers is the business mind of POWERFUL.
A self-described nerd, Michael is passionate about social, political issues and does his part to make the world a better place, and puts his time and energy where his mouth is.
